Be Mine

It’s Valentine’s week, friends and my brain is all things pink and red. Valentine’s is in full swing over here at KE headquarters. (Which, if you’ve ever wondered where we are located, it is on my couch with two dogs on either side. Thinking about expanding to a desk soon. I’ll keep you updated on this development.) Now I’ve never been one to go full out for a holiday, but I sure do love Valentine’s. For years I’ve hide this secret love for the gushy holiday, but now I’m deeming it a full week of pink. Who can be mad at that?

I’m so on the ball with the holiday this year, that I planned ahead and actually bought this dress for our Valentine’s date on Friday that my husband probably doesn’t realize is happening yet. Don’t worry, he will soon know that he is supposed to plan a date night Friday because he proofs my post before I publish.

(Yep, he knows now.) And that’s how you get a Valentine’s date.

  4. I love getting dolled up for Valentine's day, but the weather is always against me! Last year it was snowing buckets, which was romantic in it's own way, but I'm pretty sure I was wearing a flannel shirt for warmth.

  5. I'll be honest they aren't the *most* comfortable heel I own but man are they pretty! I think my problem is I should have sized up a half size, I typically have this problem with imported shoes (if they are in EU sizes.) I usually need to size up a half size and then they won't pinch, but these pinch at the toes for me. I haven't noticed any rubbing or blisters from wearing, but the tightness at the toes isn't super comfortable. I'd say if you're interested go in and try them on and that way you can get the right fit or see if they work for you. 🙂

  44. Oh my goodness you're the cutest, sweetest six-year-old grown-up I ever saw! I would wear that whole outfit in a heartbeat (rubbish Valentines pun). It's a little bit Blair Waldorf: saccharine and straight-laced at first look, then you realise it's also a tiny bit naughty.
