Happy Monday / Tax Day , my friends! My computer has already decided to crash twice today, which confirms my suspicions that it knows good and well what day it is and what it does to me is definitely personal. I was *this* close to calling it quits before 10 am and then my computer rebooted and the government said no taxes due, hon! (Only one of those things happened. The other I made up out of sheer hope.) And if you’re sitting there judging me for waiting until the last minute to file my taxes, go ahead and judge. I’ve also got dishes in the sink, too. Procrastination knows no shame around here.
So news to me: this top is surprisingly lilac. I know, I was shocked too. You can just barely see it here because it’s just the most quiet and polite shade of purple. When I ordered it online and received it, expecting a white top, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t white. I’ve got a penchant for white tops so when an unexpected shade of purple shows up at your door, it’s a nice break from the norm. And it gives me an excuse to buy a white off the shoulder blouse. Don’t act like you didn’t see where I was going with that. I’ve worn this top quite a bit lately and each time with white jeans. I’ll change the shoes but that’s about it. Not to say this is a one note kind of top, it’s just very well paired with white denim. Why break it if it’s not broken, you know?
That’s not how the saying goes, but it’s Monday so I bet it still made sense to you. Cheers, because you know I’m already drinking. (Calm down, it’s just coffee. Or is it?)

Love the lilac off the shoulder with the white denim – a calming outfit on a most hectic day. My husband and I thought we had everything ready to submit, but one missed form had us running around all morning. (Flowers are absolutely deserved for finishing taxes, if not a glass of rose.)
