After a very lovely weekend in Austin, we are now back in Dallas. I wore this dress on Sunday at a few SXSW events. It was 90 degrees in Austin so I was so glad I had packed this off the shoulder dress. I thankfully packed many dresses (no surprise there) but do you ever get to where you are going and think ‘wait, what? Why did I pack this?’ I mean, people I packed 3 pairs of jeans for a very hot weekend. Which is when I started to question my ability to use my phone’s weather app and general forecasting abilities. But I was talking to my mom and she confirmed she does the exact same thing. It’s like packing pre-amnesia. I feel like 75% of the time I pack successfully but that other 25% of the time it is like I was kidnapped and no one told me where I was going and forced me to pack. So all that to say, I was very glad this dress had somehow snuck into my pile of denim and jackets.
Last summer this off the shoulder trend had really started to become a part of the scene, but I feel like this spring we will start seeing this trend everywhere. I like it because it’s a different silhouette that I’m used to for spring and somehow makes my casual looks feel a bit elevated. A little bit of shoulder is a very good thing.

Lol that happens to me about 25% of the time too!! I’ll get to my destination and realize I only brought one weather appropriate item, even though I’m a weather stalker before a trip. The struggle is real hahaha.

I always way over-pack for trips, and end up with things that just aren’t useful too. LOVE this dress and the pretty print!

Oh my gosh, this dress is everything! I love the soft, orange hue of it! Oddly enough, it reminds me of orange cream soda or an orange cream-sicle. 😛

What a great dress! I have a couple of off the shoulder tops but I do not have a dress. An off the shoulder dress could be in my future. I love the gold ring you paired with your outfit.
