I know I use the word ‘favorite’ a lot but this is probably my most favorite dress. But I’m an equal opportunist when it comes to favorites, just because a new favorite comes along doesn’t mean I don’t love the old favorites. I love the shape of this dress and the pattern. But don’t worry other favorites: you’re all a winner in my book. One closet, one love. 
I wore this dress to a conference a few weeks back and when I purchased it decided that this is my go-to dress for events and weddings for this spring / summer. (Note: it isn’t white! I’m making progress as a wedding guest.) We’ve got a handful of weddings to attend and I like to have a uniform, if you will, for events. It’s nice to have a dress and outfit on hand so you don’t have to worry about anything last minute and have to rush (which I tend to do with events, even my own). This way my last minute rushing actually is planned out months in advance. Is there such a thing as planned procrastination? Because I think I might have mastered it.

Can I just say, you look lovely here and the colors are stunning on you, but I would love to see more remixing of some of these favorites as opposed to “Today I’m wearing all Ann Taylor!” And “Today I’m wearing all Kate Spade!” It is definitely a great dress but it makes it less inspirational for everyday life (to me).

  26. Ahh! Someone else who understands “planned procrastination!” (my husband cannot stand when I use that term- he’s a super planner…) Yes! Love the “uniform for events” idea – totally going to have to plan to use that during my “planned procrastination” phases!
