So doing your hair with one hand is difficult but trying to get your hair in a bun is a show. I’m filming myself the next time I pull this hair in a bun with my one good arm…
It’s about a 15 minute process that involves a lot of unnatural bending and curse words. Let’s just say, God knew what he was doing when he made us with pairs of limbs. Who wants to come over and do my hair for me everyday for the next 6 weeks? I pay in hugs.
We had this top at bloom for all of two seconds — it flew right out the door. To my surprise, because it’s the least holiday of our holiday collection. Holiday season is actually my least favorite time to buy for the shop because there is usually an explosion of sequins at every collection we see. It’s quite the challenge of trying to find the right pieces that will sell and the pieces that won’t ever never, no matter how much you put them on sale, or even if you hang a five dollar bill on them as an incentive. In my first fall/winter at the store I’d become so holiday happy during the buying trip that by December all we had were sequins, sparkles and fancy dresses that the only appropriate place to wear them to was the Grammy’s. Trust me, you only make that mistake once. I think that’s why I was drawn to this shirt, it was the right mix between holiday and workday. If only those two required the same uniform, then I could stock sequins all year.

You did an incredible job! Also, I feel like I always wear holiday clothes. My friends always send me photos or suggestions of things I may like and they're all some shade of red or pink and lots of glitter and sequins. I'll allow it… even in June.

I feel your pain. This summer I broke my arm, and having my hair down in the summer is not an option for me. Let's just say your hair looks amazing for working with what you've got. Hope those 6 weeks fly by!
That shirt is just beautiful, Kendi! Hang in there!

You make having a broken elbow look hott! haha…and I'm seriously impressed that you got your hair up with one hand. I never even thought about how hard that would be! And that top is gorgeous! I think it's because it involves velvet!

This color combination looks so lux! I think my own personal closet is becoming a sequin headquarters. Good for you not being drawn to all things shiny.
That top is so pretty! I can see why it sold out so quickly!

If I lived in your town and went to your store, I would have been one of those people who snatched it up! Purdy. Also I love all your casual bent-arm poses 🙂

so sorry about your arm! i was wondering about outfit photos, but should have known you wouldn't let a broken bone get in your way. you look great as usual, and your one-armed top knot is better than mine. Question- what type of eye liner do you use?
Super cute! I love the mix of colors! I hope you get better soon! And no worries about the hair. Up-do's are awesome.
